The Rotary Inspirational Women’s’ Awards (RIWA) have been established to recognise women and young women who best exemplify Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self (i.e. the community service the individual performs above and beyond their normal role. The Awards are an initiative of the Rotary Districts and Clubs of NSW.

Inspiring speakers, vigorous debate and delicious food were the order of the day as Rotary clubs across Australia and New Zealand celebrated International Women’s Day 2016. However, while women’s achievements were front and centre, clubs on both sides of the Tasman acknowledged the need for greater gender diversity in Rotary and all areas of business.
